Leon Russell

Leon R. Russell began his career, before becoming a lawyer, as a Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Quality Assurance Supervisor for several major corporations. Working in both engineering and supervisory capacities, he was responsible for aspects of highly technical, state-of-the-art, ship and plant construction projects, as well as missile guidance systems, through which he acquired intimate knowledge not only of design, construction, and manufacturing concepts, but also of corporate management strategies.

Since earning his law degree in 1985, Leon has litigated a wide variety of complex liability cases. As lead counsel, he has tried over 40 cases, nationwide, obtaining multi-million dollar verdicts in both state and federal district courts.

Leon has authored over 30 articles providing litigation guidance to lawyers, and is a frequent speaker on trial advocacy and complex litigation. Leon is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, College of the State Bar of Texas, and Texas Bar Foundation. Throughout his legal career he has played a prominent role in numerous prestigious national, state and local trial lawyer organizations including the American Association of Justice. He is a past President of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, and a former Director of the Texas Trial Lawyer's Association.
